ShootMatrix (the "Service") is a web application and progressive web app for shooters, shooting academies, coaches and guardians. It is proprietary software owned, operated and licensed by Build Tech Setu ("Build Tech Setu", "we", "us" or "our"). The Service includes the student application at app.shootmatrix.com, the Partner application at partner.shootmatrix.com, our application programming interface, and all related software, designs, text, graphics, scoring logic, data models and documentation.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an academy or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and "you" includes that organisation.
The Service lets you record shooting sessions and target cards, review scores and groupings, keep a training diary, follow training plans and drills, use timers, and (where applicable) connect with an academy, coach or guardian. Features may differ between the student and Partner applications, may depend on your role and your academy's settings, and may change over time. Some features are in active development and are provided as they are.
The Service is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms, Build Tech Setu grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own training or, if you are an academy or coach, for managing your academy's shooters. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The Service, including its source and object code, user interface, look and feel, trademarks (including the ShootMatrix name and logo), algorithms, scoring and analytics methods, databases, and content we create, is the confidential and proprietary property of Build Tech Setu and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade-secret, trademark and other laws. No ownership interest passes to you. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them without obligation to you.
You agree not to, and not to let anyone else:
"Your Data" means the information you put into or generate through the Service, such as your profile, sessions, shots, scores, target card photographs, notes, diary entries and equipment details. You keep all rights you have in Your Data.
You grant Build Tech Setu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce and display Your Data only as needed to operate, secure, support and improve the Service for you, and to share it with the people you authorise (for example, your academy, coach or guardian). We may create aggregated or de-identified statistics that no longer identify you and use them to understand and improve the Service.
You are responsible for Your Data, for having the right to upload it (including photographs of other people's cards), and for keeping your own copies. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data, how long we keep it, and how to ask for access, correction or deletion.
ShootMatrix is a record-keeping and analysis tool. Scores, groupings, trends, plans and suggestions are informational and may contain errors, for example if a photo is poorly lit or a target is misdetected. They are not a substitute for a qualified coach, referee or official result. Shooting sports involve firearms or air weapons and carry a risk of injury. You are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of others, for lawful ownership, storage, transport and use of any equipment, and for following the rules of your range, academy and governing body. Nothing in the Service is medical, legal or professional advice.
The Service relies on third parties, including Google (sign-in, cloud hosting and storage), Resend (email delivery) and PostHog (product analytics). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature at any time, perform maintenance, or impose limits (for example on upload size or request rates). If we discontinue the Service we will try to give reasonable notice and a way to export Your Data. The Service may be offered free of charge during early access; we may introduce paid plans with advance notice and will not charge you without your agreement.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice where urgent, if you breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if required by law. On termination your licence ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 16 and 17) continue to apply.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components. We do not warrant that scores or analytics are accurate or suitable for competition or certification.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Build Tech Setu and its owners, directors, employees, contractors and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data or opportunity, arising out of or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose and (b) INR 1,000. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.
You agree to defend and indemnify Build Tech Setu and its personnel against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, Your Data that you had no right to submit, or your unlawful use of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any dispute informally. If we cannot, the courts of competent jurisdiction in India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have.
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Using the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree, stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account.
